When good sleep becomes a luxury
For a long time, sleep felt natural. You became tired, went to bed, and woke up the next morning feeling restored.
Today, many people experience something very different. The body is tired, but sleep remains shallow. The mind keeps racing. The feeling of true recovery never quite arrives.
Sleep is more than rest
Sleep is not a passive state. It is a highly complex process in which the body works, regulates and reorganises itself through different phases.
Deep sleep phases in particular play a central role.
This is where processes take place that are essential for regeneration, stability and inner balance. Yet these very phases are increasingly falling out of sync.
Our nervous system does not only respond to thoughts or stress.
It also responds to our environment. Rhythms, frequencies and electromagnetic fields are part of that environment.
Our body is designed to orient itself around natural structures.
Around recurring patterns. Around a kind of “fundamental tone” that provides stability.
But this background has changed significantly in recent years.
Electromagnetic influences, artificial signals and constant overstimulation can contribute to the body struggling to enter stable sleep phases
Our autonomic nervous system controls many processes that we cannot consciously influence. This also includes the sleep-wake cycle.
If this system is disturbed over time, it may show up as:
- difficulty falling asleep
- restless sleep
- frequent waking
- lack of regeneration
Sleep then stops being recovery and becomes a challenge.
Back to a natural rhythm
A central question in the biophysical perspective is:
How can the body find orientation again?
Not through “trying harder” or “wanting to sleep better.”
But through impulses that help the organism realign with natural patterns.
An impulse from the magnetic field perspective
At Biregs, we have been exploring for many years the role that magnetic and electromagnetic fields may play in biological processes.
Protofield works with an ultra-weak, rhythmic magnetic field that is oriented towards natural structures.
The idea behind it is not to directly influence individual processes, but to provide the body with a stable frame of reference. A kind of “fundamental tone” to which systems can begin to realign. In practice, this approach is used in contexts such as sleep, stress and inner regulation
Rethinking sleep
Perhaps sleep is not only about falling asleep faster.
Perhaps it is about creating the conditions under which the body can truly settle again.
Sleep is not a switch. It is the result of balance.
